MYSTERY READER
I am thrilled to invite you to be a mystery reader in our classroom! Every Friday we will have a mystery reader come to the classroom to read their favorite children’s book to the class. Each day leading up to the mystery reader coming, the students will get a new clue about the reader. The students will be able to guess who the reader is.
**The clues should start off vague and become increasingly more specific. Here is an example:
1. I am not a father
2. I drive a car
3. I work in an office
4. I have curly hair
5. My dog’s name is Bruno
If you are interested in being a mystery reader, please fill out the clues and return this form to me. Please do not let your child know that you are going to be a mystery reader, I want every student to work on their critical thinking skills and to be surprised!
The mystery reader will come on Friday at 12:20 and read to the class. You will have about 15 minutes to spend with the kids. Most readers bring two or three of their child's favorite books or favorite books from their own childhood. Picture books, not chapter books, work best. You can email me your clues if you did not turn them in on Back to School morning or send them with your child and I will be sure they get to our reading coordinator.
Our reading coordinator is Ritu Sharma (Sara's mom) and her email is [email protected]. Please do not let your child know that you are coming. They have so much fun trying to guess who it is!
